Module toggles
Settings → Modules lets admins turn modules on or off for the whole organisation.
Why turn modules off
- You don't use CRM (you only do delivery)
- You don't use HR (small team, no need)
- You want to simplify the UX for non-power users
Disabled modules disappear from the sidebar for everyone. Data stays in the database — turn back on and it's all there.
How to toggle
Settings → Modules → flip the switch next to each module:
- Pulse (CRM)
- Tribe (HR)
- Tally (Timesheets)
- Portfolios
- Programmes
Projects can't be disabled — they're the core.
Effect on permissions
Disabling a module overrides permissions — even an Admin can't see a disabled module's sidebar entry. Re-enable to restore visibility.
Effect on Sage
Sage knows which modules are enabled and adjusts its answers. It won't suggest "create an opportunity" if Pulse is off.
Tips
- Don't toggle modules to manage permissions. Use Module access permissions for that — toggles are org-wide on/off.
- Disable noisy modules. If 80% of your team don't need Pulse, disabling reduces noise in their sidebar.
