Invite your team

Bringing colleagues into Sageon Business takes about 30 seconds per person.

Send an invite

  1. Go to Settings → Team
  2. Type the colleague's email in the Invite people box
  3. Pick a role from the dropdown (see roles below)
  4. Click Send invite

Sageon emails the invite straight to your colleague from hello@sageon.co.uk with an Accept invite button. They click it, set a password, and land in your organisation.

Each invite link is valid for 7 days and can only be used once.

Did it send?

The invite confirmation card shows you instantly:

  • Green tick — "Invite emailed to X" → email is on its way. Replies go to you.
  • Amber — "Email not sent" → email failed (rare — usually a typo'd address). The invite still exists; copy the link from the card and share it manually.

The raw invite URL is shown on every card so you can copy and share it directly any time — handy for Slack, Teams, or hand-off in person.

You can also create custom roles on the Standard and Pro plans — useful for things like "Programme Lead" or "Contractor".

Accepting an invite

When your colleague opens the invite email and clicks Accept invite they'll be asked to:

  1. Create a Sageon account (email + password, or sign in if they already have one)
  2. Confirm their name
  3. Land directly in your organisation

No payment from them — they're added to your seat allowance automatically.

If you try to invite past your limit, Sageon will tell you and link to the upgrade page. You can remove inactive members at any time from Settings → Team.

What if my colleague doesn't get the email?

  • Ask them to check spam / junk — emails from a new sender sometimes land there. Add hello@sageon.co.uk to their safe-sender list to fix it for next time.
  • The invite URL is still shown on the confirmation card in Settings → Team under "Recently sent". Copy it and DM / message them directly.
  • If the address was wrong, delete the pending invite from the list and re-send to the correct email.
