What Sage can do

Read-only questions — Sage has access to your org's data and can answer:

"What's our pipeline look like?"
"Which projects are at risk this week?"
"What's our win rate?"
"Draft a board update for the Customer Portal project"

Actions — Sage can also CREATE records for you:

Log a RAID item (risk, assumption, issue, dependency, lesson, stakeholder)
Add a milestone
Log a decision
Update a project's RAG status
Create an opportunity in CRM
Move an opportunity through the pipeline (qualified → proposal → negotiation → won)
Update an opportunity's value
Create a campaign
Create a bid (draft)
Add a contact
Convert an opportunity into a bid

How actions work

When you ask Sage to create or update something, it:

Asks for any missing information ("which project? what target date?")
Drafts the change and shows you a confirmation card in the chat
Waits for you to click Confirm or Cancel
Only writes to your data after you confirm

Nothing happens behind your back.

Tips for getting good answers

Be specific. "Log a high-impact risk on Customer Portal: supplier may miss UAT" gets the right action straight away. "Add a risk" triggers a back-and-forth.
Use real project names. Sage matches them fuzzily — "the Cabinet Office bid" will find "Cabinet Office Zero Trust".
Ask follow-ups. Sage remembers the last 10 messages of context within a conversation.
Ask for drafts. "Draft a project status update for the board, max 200 words, focused on Customer Portal" — Sage is good at this.

Daily message limit

Every user gets 20 Sage messages per day across all plans. This resets at midnight (UK time).

Limit reached? Sage will tell you. The cap is per-user, so other team members are unaffected.
Most users use 3-8 messages a day in practice.

What Sage can't do (yet)

Delete records (use the normal UI to delete)
Bulk operations ("set all amber projects to red" won't work — one at a time)
Send emails to other users on your behalf
See data outside your organisation

Privacy

Sage sends your business context (project names, RAG status, financial summaries) to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic doesn't use API data to train their models. See our privacy policy for full details.
