Both Standard and Pro include every module — only the user cap differs.

How to upgrade

  1. Settings → Billing
  2. Click Upgrade on the plan you want
  3. Stripe Checkout opens — confirm and pay
  4. The new plan is active immediately; you're billed pro-rata for the rest of the current period

How to downgrade

Same path — Settings → Billing → Change plan. The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period (you keep your current capabilities until then).

If you have more users than the new plan allows, you'll need to remove some via Settings → Team before the change can take effect.

How to cancel

Settings → Billing → Manage subscription opens the Stripe customer portal. Click Cancel subscription.

  • Your access continues until the end of the current paid period
  • After that, your org is locked but data is preserved for 90 days
  • You can resubscribe within those 90 days and pick up exactly where you left off
  • After 90 days, data is permanently deleted

What happens to my data?

  • While subscribed: yours, accessible, exportable via the API and CSV exports
  • 30 days after cancellation: read-only access via Stripe receipt page so you can still get to your CSVs
  • 90 days after cancellation: permanently deleted in line with GDPR

Invoices and VAT

  • All prices are in GBP
  • VAT is not currently charged (Sageon Ltd is below the UK VAT threshold)
  • Stripe sends a receipt to your billing email after every charge
  • For company invoices, go to Settings → Billing → Manage subscription → invoice history

Common billing questions

Can I get a refund? We don't issue refunds for partially-used periods. Cancel anytime and you'll keep access until the end of the current period.

Can I pause my subscription? Not yet — pause functionality is on the roadmap. For now, cancel and re-subscribe when you're ready.

Card declined — what now? Stripe will retry the payment 3 times over a week. You'll get email notifications. If all retries fail, your access is suspended (data preserved). Update your card in Settings → Billing → Manage subscription.
