The HR Analytics dashboard surfaces workforce metrics: headcount, employment splits, tenure distribution, and starter/leaver trends.

Headline metrics

  • Departments — count of departments
  • Employment types — permanent / contract / intern mix

Common analyses

  • Attrition rate — leavers in last 12 months / average headcount. Above 15% is high; investigate.
  • Hiring funnel (if integrated with ATS) — applicants → interviews → offers → starts.
  • Comp distribution — salary spread per band (admin only).
  • Diversity stats (where captured) — gender / ethnicity / age splits, with care for small-cohort anonymity.

Tips

  • Look at trends, not snapshots. A single number is meaningless without 12 months of context.
  • Slice by manager. Attrition is rarely uniform — it clusters around specific managers.
  • Anonymise small cohorts. Departments with <5 people should be hidden from cross-tab views.
