Managing your team

The Team settings page is where you add, remove and re-role team members.

See your team

Settings → Team. Lists every member with name, email, role, joined date.

Add a member

In the Invite people box:

  • Type their email
  • Pick role from dropdown
  • Click Send invite

Sageon emails the invite straight to them from hello@sageon.co.uk. The confirmation card shows the delivery status — green tick means it's sent, amber means it failed and you can copy the link to share manually.

Invite links expire after 7 days and are one-time use.

Change someone's role

In the team list, click the role next to a member → pick the new role → confirm.

The owner's role can't be changed (built-in safety). You can't change your own role.

Remove a member

Click the trash icon → confirm. The user loses access immediately. Their historical data (created records, time entries) stays.

Pending invites

Below the member list, see pending invites with:

  • Email
  • Role they'll get
  • Expires date
  • Delete (cancel)

To re-send the invite link, delete the pending invite and create a fresh one — the recipient gets a new email.

You can't add a new member if you're at the limit. Either remove someone or upgrade via Settings → Billing.

Tips

  • Remove leavers promptly. Inactive users still count against your seat limit.
  • Use custom roles for non-standard roles (Contractor, Auditor, etc.) — see Custom roles.
